becoming a christian

We believe in a loving God who desires for all of his children to find salvation and wholeness through him. To begin this journey with Christ, walk through the following steps of admission, belief, and confession.

STEP 1

Admit you are a sinner

The Bible teaches us that "There is no one righteous, not even one…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:10,23. (See Romans 5:8; 6:23) It also teaches us that "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13) Begin by asking for forgiveness.

STEP 2

Believe in Jesus

The Bible teaches that Jesus is  your only source of salvation. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 (See John 14:6). Put your trust in him and become a Child of God by receiving him into your life. "To all who receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12 (See Revelation 3:20)

Confess that Jesus is your Lord

"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9 (See verse 10)

Confession often takes the form of prayer. You can pray in your own words and way, or if you’d like guidance, use the following prayer:

DEAR FATHER, I BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS YOUR ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, AND THAT HE BECAME A HUMAN BEING, SHED HIS BLOOD AND DIED ON THE CROSS TO CLEAN AWAY MY SIN THAT WAS SEPARATING ME FROM YOU. I BELIEVE THAT HE ROSE FROM THE DEAD, PHYSICALLY, TO GIVE ME NEW LIFE.  LORD JESUS, I INVITE YOU TO COME INTO MY HEART. I ACCEPT YOU AS MY SAVIOR AND LORD. I CONFESS MY SINS, AND ASK YOU TO WASH THEM AWAY. I BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE COME AND ARE LIVING IN ME RIGHT NOW. THANK YOU JESUS!
